The Partisan was a late period polearm, it looks a lot like a typical spear, but is also designed to be a formidable cutting weapon, with a longer and wider head, sharpened on the edges, and with small 'wings' for cutting and hooking. Mainly to be used against civilians, it was not designed for defeating armour. Used prominently by Papal and Swiss guards.
